More options for governance professionals!

Following a review of the International Qualifying Standard – the framework that underpins our qualifications in New Zealand - some significant changes to our qualifying programme have been implemented. We now offer two chartered professional designations with the new Chartered Governance Professional designation sitting alongside that of Chartered Secretary.

Affiliated membership is a new class of non-chartered membership which provides professional recognition of the achievement, value and capability of those who have qualified via our non-chartered route. It is open to those who hold a recognised professional or pre-professional qualification and have at least 2-years of relevant work experience requiring minimal or no further study. Affiliated members can opt to pursue full chartered membership at any stage by enrolling on the Professional Education Programme.

Study for ICSI members

As from 1 January 2019, Members of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, (ICSI), may qualify to study with Governance NZ in order to gain the Chartered Secretary or Chartered Governance qualification. View full information
