As from 1 January 2019, Members of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) who hold Associate or Fellow status and have been a fully paid-up member in good standing for a minimum of two years, are able to study with Governance NZ in order to gain the Chartered Secretary qualification, and (new from July 2019), the Chartered Governance Professional qualification, therefore acquiring membership of both the Chartered Governance Institute (previously known as the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA)) and of Governance NZ Inc..
The Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA) and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) have supplemented their 1998 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that recognises the common interest both Institutes have in promoting best practice in ‘Company Secretaryship’. Both Institutes wish to encourage greater contact between their two organisations and to make reciprocity of membership more accessible for members of both organisations.
The supplements to the MOU recognise the new qualifying programmes that each Institute has recently implemented as well as streamlining administrative requirements.
Members of the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA) can find out more about applying for membership of ICSI on the ICSI website...
