Sarah Anderson
Sarah accepted the position as President of the Friends of the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū in June 2020. The Friends are a charitable membership-based organisation whose purpose is to support the Gallery and provide ‘value added’ activities for its members. The Friends also actively fundraise in order to support Christchurch Art Gallery acquisitions, publications, and professional development funds.
Sarah's entire tenure as President thus far can rightly be described as a tenure of "crisis" with the focus being on navigating the Friends through such uncertain times.
Sarah has worked in volunteer roles for most of her adult life and was previously Chair of the Waikato Sculpture Trust, another charitable arts organisation of which she was involved with from inception.
