Whether it’s networking, public speaking or leveraging LinkedIn, she relishes the opportunity to share and guide on how to show up confidently and enjoy being in any room.

Jo is a Women in Governance Award winner receiving the award for Not-for-Profit Governance Leader in 2021. An experienced consultant who has led a variety of projects and assignments, Jo is regularly asked to facilitate strategy sessions with leadership teams, coach emerging leaders and lead substantial policy, strategy and gender projects. Recent assignments include evaluating Sport NZ's gender equity in governance policy, leading sessions at APEC 2023 on gender equality in customs and border agencies, working with the New Zealand Defence Force's leadership team on the gender diversity of the forces, and completing a gender analysis of immigration policy. Jo was the previous Chief Executive of the Ministry forWomen.

One of the youngest Chief Executives ever appointed in the New Zealand Public Service, she has invested her time and energy in advancing the cause of the vulnerable in society, spearheading some of the most difficult issues of our time, including child abuse, child poverty, family violence and vulnerable women.

Katy is a recruitment executive recruitment thought leader with over 20 years' experience in the industry. Her role as Director-Wellington, is focused on partnering with clients in public and private sectors to appoint key talent. She also works with firms that require broader HR needs including training, leadership coaching, succession planning, capability development and organisational reviews.

Her work in the education sector includes governance appointments, executive leadership as well as broader consultancy delivery.

Prior to working for Sheffield, Katy was the Director of Operations for Manpower Group, designing and delivering workforce solutions for a variety of clients globally. Katy also possesses significant international experience, having worked in leadership roles for some iconic firms such as Amazon, Expedia, and Microsoft.
