The Women on Boards Executive Committee has made the difficult decision to postpone the Women in Governance Awards until 2021. Given the impact of COVID-19 and the disruption to business and increasing concern over the health and wellbeing of all New Zealanders, the Committee believes this is the best action to take in these uncertain times.
If you are already working on your nomination please keep going! We will be opening nominations for the 2021 Award nominations early next year and we look forward to making next year’s Awards programme bigger and better than ever with your continued support.
The national Women in Governance Awards programme recognises and celebrates innovation, excellence, creativity and commitment to diversity by both organisations and individuals.

A few words from previous Award Winners...
"We are extremely proud of our achievement in
winning the prestigious award of Gender Diverse Organisation of the Year 2019.
We have worked hard to ensure that we are a positive example of a law firm
committed to gender equality and diversity. We have developed a culture which
enables women to succeed, removing obstacles, rather than creating them. It is
fantastic to be recognised for this."

"Winning the Emerging Leader at the Women in Governance NZ awards was a career defining moment in my governance journey. The acknowledgement gave me a newfound confidence to pursue Boards I thought were out of my league and empowered me to stretch beyond my comfort zone. It’s an honour and privilege to stand beside other amazing women and be inspired by the many stories of strength, courage, hard work and determination."
