Dedicate more time to strategy as part of long-term stewardship relationship

ICSA has launched guidance on how companies and their shareholders can communicate with each other more effectively at the 5th ICSA Corporate Governance Conference.

The guidance, Enhancing Stewardship Dialogue, was launched at ICSA's annual corporate governance conference by Seamus Gillen, ICSA Policy Director. Mr Gillen followed hot on the heels of a dramatic keynote speech from Paul Myners, who argued that the Stewardship Code, launched in 2010, had made little or no impact on the relationship between companies and their investors. ICSA's guidance argues that companies and institutional investors need to commit more time to discussing strategy and long-term performance and the factors which create and destroy value.
