Sky City deal: Call for Auditor General investigation

The Auditor General has been asked to investigate the deal between the Government and casino giant Sky City for a national convention centre.

The offer to Sky City appeared to have been under discussion in November 2009, before the Government opened the field to expression of interest from other possible bidders in March 2010. That meant the process had been unfair to the other bidders under a series of guidelines and rules laid down in official documents.
