Paul Devereux FCIS - Resignation from the Committee and Board

Message from the President

The Committee for New Zealand and Board of Chartered Secretaries New Zealand Inc. advise that Paul Devereux FCIS tendered his resignation from the Committee and Board along with the Membership & Admissions, Education and Professional Standards Committees, and National Investigation Group effective Friday 10 February 2012. Pauls resignation as Vice-President of the Committee for New Zealand and National Board and Chair of the Membership and Admissions Committee are also effective from that date.

The demands on Pauls time as a senior advisory consultant in a number of sectors and projects in both New Zealand and internationally, no longer permits Paul the opportunity to continue his contribution to Chartered Secretaries and the New Zealand Division. It was with reluctance and disappointment that the Committee and Board accepted Pauls decision to resign.

Paul joined the Auckland Branch in 2006, was appointed to the Committee for New Zealand and National Board of CSNZ in January 2008 and was elevated to Vice-President in 2010. The Committee and Board are appreciative of the significant contribution he has made to the strategy and direction of the Division, and the New Zealand operations have been favoured with the inputs and guidance he has made over a range of disciplines.

On behalf of the Members in New Zealand I wish to thank Paul for his contribution and we wish him every success in the future.

Dr. Jack Dowds, FCIS
President
