Lecturer Appointment - Corporate Administration & Corporate Secretaryship

Patricia Finlayson Cert HE Unitec., Dip Phty., BA LLB LLM(Hons) Auckland., Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand has been appointed as the Corporate Administration & Corporate Secretaryship lecturer for 2012.

Patricia practiced law in a commercial firm specialising in insurance and maritime work; she is also a qualified health professional who has considerable experience in both clinical work and health management. Her research interest in the evolving biotechnology/law interface which includes aspects of intellectual property law, insurance law, ethics and the biological and social sciences reflects this background. She has also developed a research interest in fiduciary duties - in particular conflict of interest in both the private and public sectors.
