Technical Amendments to the Charities Act 2005

Last year, the Department of Internal Affairs reviewed the Charities Act 2005 and the Charities (Fees, Forms, and Other Matters) Regulations 2006.

The purpose of the review was to identify and resolve issues arising from the implementation of the Charities Register, and to improve the legislation's operation and workability. As a result of this review, some technical amendments to the Charities Act will be made by Parliament.
