John Horsley, MComLaw (Hons), FCIS and Principal Lecturer at the MIT Faculty of Business will be presenting Risk Management in the 21st Century – A new paradigm in Auckland on Tuesday 26 July 2011 and in Wellington on Thursday 28 July 2011.
John will address the dramatic changes that have occurred in Risk Management in recent times and the need for all Corporate Professionals to re-assess the issues confronting day-to-day operations in the New Zealand market.
The presentation will also cover new dimensions in risk analysis, the changing governance and organisational models needed to respond to risk, 21st Century risk issues such as the impact of global events on supply chains and sales, technology risk and the measures needed to avoid vulnerable outcomes.
Presenter:
John Horsley is an academic at MIT’s Faculty of Business, and has just completed a term as Head of School, Accounting and Management. He has a Bachelors and Masters degree in law.
John teaches and researches in the areas of governance, ethics, corporate and commercial law. He is a governance commentator and consultant, writes for professional and business magazines on current governance trends and issues and has given presentations on governance and risk issues to audiences in Auckland, Wellington, Sydney and Melbourne.
John is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and teaches governance and corporate law to business practitioners on the CSNZ graduate diploma programme.
