Affiliate membership is ideal for professionals involved in company secretarial work or other governance, risk and compliance roles who want access to industry-related information, education and networking opportunities without pursuing "chartered" status.

  • Option to subscribe to Governance Institute of Australia (GIA) Governance Directions monthly journal
  • Invitations to attend all Governance New Zealand presentations, lectures, seminars, workshops and the National Governance Conference at member rates
  • Opportunities to network with other corporate and governance professionals through Governance New Zealand professional development, training and networking events
  • Affiliate members are encouraged to undertake subjects from the Professional Education Programme for their own continuing professional development and, on completion, receive a "Certificate of Completion"

Please note that Affiliate members are unable to use the post-nominals ACIS and FCIS or refer to themselves as Chartered Secretaries. Affiliate members are members of Governance New Zealand but are not members of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA International).
