Jo Kelly awarded the top student award for Semester Two 2021

Each semester a prize for academic excellence is awarded to the student achieving the highest overall mark. Recognition of this prize is acknowledged in the Governance New Zealand Inc. Annual Report.

The Semester Two 2021 award went to Jo Kelly (pictured) of Auckland who achieved an outstanding result of 96% in her Corporate Governance paper.

Jo is Managing Director of Independent Governance Services, an outsourced Board Secretary solution for a range of entities. She is also the Trust Manager of the Kelliher Charitable Trust and a Director of University and Tertiary Sports New Zealand.

"The Chartered Secretary course has directly assisted in broadening the range of services I am able to offer my clients", says Jo, "both in terms of confidence in my own knowledge as a governance expert, and also in terms of the credibility it provides my business.
