To gain the Chartered Secretary or Chartered Governance Professional qualifications, which provide entry to membership of both Governance New Zealand and the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA), there are four criteria to be met.
Members must be resident in New Zealand. If resident outside of New Zealand, you will need to contact your local Division of the Chartered Governance Institute. Note: the residency requirement does not apply to members of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) who are applying for membership under the terms of the ICSI/CGI MoU. When you have completed your studies you will be invited to apply for election to membership of Governance New Zealand and, once elected, you will be entitled to use the designation Chartered Secretary and/or Chartered Governance Professional and the post nominals ACG AGNZ.
