Canterbury Branch Event

Social Function
Governance New Zealand invites you to this free event to meet with the President of Governance NZ and the Canterbury Branch Chairperson.

Hear an outline of Governance NZ’s plans for the future including the reinvigoration of the organisation and how your membership to Governance NZ links you to a world of possibilities. Find out how Governance NZ is driving international research into critical areas of governance, such as diversity. This is also an opportunity for you and your colleagues to ask questions of how Governance NZ can aid you in your governance career.

Presenter

Dr Denis Mowbray FCG FGNZ

Denis is a specialist advisor working in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. His area of specialist expertise is behavioural governance. His ground-breaking PhD research identified that while compliance and regulation are important, it is the combination of behavioural characteristics and attributes existing within and between the board and executive, operating as a ‘Third Team’, which allows the board to influence the executive who impacts organisational performance. His work with boards is highly regarded, and sees him work frequently, both locally and internationally, with government, corporate and not-for-profit organisations.
