Office of Ethnic Communities

The Office of Ethnic Communities is the government’s principal advisor on ethnic diversity in New Zealand. We provide information, advice and services to ethnic communities in New Zealand and administer funds to support community development and social cohesion.

We work with a wide variety of groups and agencies to champion community needs, work directly in support of ethnic communities, and manage funds and programmes to help ensure everyone, regardless of ethnicity, feels valued and fully included in society.
