Simon Challies, The Lone Nut

Graduating from UC in law and commerce, Simon chose accountancy and quickly moved into the listed company realm. At 36 Simon became CEO of Ryman, leading the company for 11 years through a period of exceptional growth and maturity. Simon stepped down eighteen months ago due to the onset of Parkinsons and has since co-founded Braveheart Chch, become executive chairman of Nutrient Rescue, a director of Kilmarnock Enterprises and is actively involved in several social enterprises/charities. Simon was awarded Deloitte Top 200 Executive of the year in 2014, but is perhaps better known for his worldwide YouTube hit – the Diana Isaac village take on Pharrell Williams “Happy”.
