Whilst great emphasis is appropriately placed on the statutory and regulatory environment when addressing the issues facing us in Governance in New Zealand today, it is critical to also reflect and observe the social and personal responsibilities and commitments required by a responsible director.
A strong awareness of the economic and social environment is critical but we need to ask ourselves if the impact and implications of these dynamic changes are sufficiently top of mind in corporate leadership in New Zealand.
