The Effective Director Course is a sharply focused programme that delivers critical content in a condensed period of time. It is designed for busy directors who want to gain skills and knowledge but who cannot afford a full week out of the business.
The workshop is three days in duration, each day two weeks apart. You will be provided with a board pack and each session will include a mix of presentations, discussions, case studies and simulated board meetings.
On successful completion of the course you will receive the Governance New Zealand Effective Director Certificate.
Armed with this, you will be well placed to address any challenges and opportunities arising from your directorships with new-found confidence and skill.

John Horsley teaches and researches in the areas of governance, ethics, corporate and commercial law. John is an academic at the MIT Manukau Faculty of Business and Information Technology and has a Bachelors and Master’s degree in law.
