Student

Participants on the Professional Education Programme studying towards gaining the Chartered Secretary, Chartered Governance Professional or Affiliated member qualifications. Student members are members of Governance New Zealand. Learn more...

GRADUATE

Graduates of the Professional Education Programme who have successfully completed the academic requirements of applying for chartered membership. As soon as Graduates can demonstrate the relevant work experience to achieve chartered status, they can progress to Associate membership.

Associate (chartered members)

Graduates of the Professional Education Programme who have gained the Chartered Secretary or Chartered Governance Professional qualifications. Associate members are members of both Governance New Zealand and the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA Global). Learn more...

Fellow (chartered members)

Senior chartered members who have acquired a greater level of experience and responsibility within the profession. Fellows are members of both Governance New Zealand and the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA Global). Learn more...

AFFILIATED MEMBERS (NON CHARTERED MEMBERS)

Members who have studied three prescribed modules from the Professional Education Programme and are part-qualified but who do not want to seek either of the full chartered qualifications. Affiliated members are members of both Governance New Zealand and the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA Global). Learn more


Subscriber memberships

PROFESSIONAL SUBSCRIBER (non-chartered members)

Professionals involved in company secretarial work or other governance, risk and compliance roles who want access to industry-related information, education and networking opportunities without pursuing one of our formal governance qualifications or acquiring “chartered” status. Subscriber members are members of Governance New Zealand but are not members of the Chartered Governance Institute. Learn more...

Women on Boards SUBSCRIBER (NON-CHARTERED MEMBERS)

Female professionals who are seeking access to tools and empowerment through education, mentoring and networking opportunities in order to assist them in their directorship and governance careers.
